Australian-born guitarist Craig Ogden is one of the world’s finest classical guitarists. He’s become known as the Classical Jack Johnson through his laid back, effortless, naturally brilliant approach to playing guitar. His new album The Guitarist, has been dubbed 'summer in a CD' by Classic FM.

The album comprises brand new arrangements of the most voted for Classic FM tracks, as featured in their ‘Hall of Fame’. Beautiful interpretations of much-loved piano pieces, bringing his own unique sound to some of the most popular and loved tunes, include "Ashokan Farewell", "Clair de Lune", the "Moonlight Sonata", "Canon in D" to name but a few, as well as a number of brand new compositions.

Craig Ogden studied guitar from the age of seven and percussion from the age of thirteen and in 2004 he was honoured by the Royal Northern College of Music with a Fellowship in recognition of his achievements. He is the youngest instrumentalist to have received this award from the RNCM.

He regularly appears as soloist and chamber musician at the major London venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Barbican and collaborates regularly with many of the UK's top artists and ensembles.

Craig Ogden is Principal Lecturer in Guitar at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
